Now departing from platform 9....
Me! I'm going on vacation and it will feature many planes, trains and one huge ship. I hope to have a few updates for you as I go, as I will be visiting at least three rail museums along the way. First up will br the MOSI in Manchester.

Well at least my track is getting laid...
...but the wiring has been neglected thus far!
Canada Day makes this is a three day weekend for me and with beautiful summer weather finally upon the city I did the obvious thing and laid track in the basement. I am happy to report that I have closed the loop, the basic track work is complete! I'm sure in years to come I will manage many additions, spurs or what have you but today I am done. I followed my plan closely but found, as is often the way when confronted with physical realities and tolerances dictated by my carpentry and not CAD software, that I had planned a siding too many. No matter, it's just a project for the years ahead, and really tertiary to the overall goal.
So, my loops are complete and my wiring is not. I've dropped feeders from my 'north' section and soldered the joiners, but everything on the 'east' wall is bare. If the moons align I may get some trains running by tomorrow night!
